Terms of Service

I am not accepting commissions for artwork that is NSFW; relates to a holiday; espouses any form of bigotry, nationalism, or right-wing messaging; is overtly religious; or pertains to any topical current events.  If you’re unsure if your idea falls into any of these categories, feel free to ask!  The worst I can do is say no.

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below.

Payment is accepted through Paypal.  Remember not to write anything in the note field!

I may work on more than one commission at a time.  Because some projects take longer than others, there is a possibility that someone who commissioned me after you did could get their piece before you do.

If I try to contact you about your commission and don’t receive a reply for 90 days, this will be considered ghosting and the commission will be forfeit.  At this time, I may use the sketches or artwork for personal projects or other commissions.

Please note that I do have a day job, so your patience is appreciated.

I may not work on commissions on weekends or holidays.

When I post the finished commissioned images on my socials, I will tag you or name you by default.  If you wish to remain anonymous, please let me know!

Please respect that any relationship between me as an artist and you as a client is strictly professional, and that commissioning me is not a pathway to friendship with me.

The Process

  • While visual references are perfectly welcome, AI-generated material is not.  Please do not AI-generate any concepts or character artwork for me to work from.  I may cancel the commission if this happens.
  • I will need a visual reference for your character—a ref sheet, artwork, etc—that sufficiently displays the character for the piece you want me to make.  If the piece is a full-body illustration, I’ll need a full-body image of your character to work from.
  • There will be two work phases:
    • Thumbnailing: This phase may play out very different from job to job, but it ends when you approve a sketch that I’ve submitted to you.
    • Painting: This is the creation process of your commissioned piece.  Any lining or painting will be done here, and it ends when you approve the finished piece.
  • A small version of the image with a “PENDING APPROVAL” watermark will be submitted for final approval.  After payment is received, the full-size image without the watermark will be sent to you via email, or through whatever method you prefer.
  • Revisions:
    • Major revisions (those that take more than 20 minutes to effect): These will always incur additional charges based on how much time they take.
    • Minor revisions (those that take less than 20 minutes to effect): I can make a small number of these free of charge; how many will depend on how intensive the revisions are.
    • Tweaks (those that take less than 1 minute): These will be free of charge, unless they happen often enough to be disruptive.
    • There will be a last call for revisions at the completion of the piece.  After this, I will not accept further requests for revision.
    • Any revisions necessary due to artist error are free of charge.

Payment

  • Full refunds will be unavailable if I have started work on your commission after receiving the first payment.
  • Payment phases:
    • The first invoice (50% of total commission price) will be sent once a sketch is approved.  Work will begin after payment is received.
    • The second invoice (50% of total commission price) will be sent once you have approved the finished piece.
