The Gray Old Trees

“Negotiations” is my 52nd comic strip, and since this is a weekly webcomic, that means I’ve been drawing this comic for one year now!

I really didn’t know what to expect when I started producing these strips. I just wanted to create a little world for Junebug to exist in, to give them a personality, to draw little vignettes where they can talk to birds and draw trees and play with bugs. I wasn’t prepared for how challenging, and how rewarding, this whole comic thing would be. I feel like I’ve come so far as an artist, but I also know I’m just getting started. I had no idea what my 52nd comic strip would look like when I posted the first one in March last year, and I don’t know what the 104th one will look like when I post it next year. What I am certain of though, is that I’m very excited to find out!
